Hello. I'm a bit odd. In fact, I don't believe I can fit myself into this box. I don't like fitting into boxes. But I'll try. I have four loves: poetry, books, archaeology, and photography. I spend most of my free time reading fiction, writing poetry, workin on my poetry website (www.geocities.com/lheath89/index.html) reading about archaeology and working on photography stuff. I could spend days on any one of those things. I also like wearing hippie clothes, laughing, hugging trees (literally), listing the reasons why George Bush is incompetent, hiking, singing folk music and hanging out with my crazy friends. I'm a vegetarian, a Democrat, a Unitarian Universalist, an atheist/humanist/agnostic, a tree-hugger, and a bookworm. Someday I want to be in the Peace Corps, because they actually represent the US positively to the world. I wish I could play the guitar, so I could hang out in parks and play and sing and hang out. Someday I'll write a book, once I think of a good thing to write about. I want to go back to Mallorca and buy an old house there and refurbish it and spend my days excavating ruins. Or I could go to Colorado or New Mexico. They're groovy too. I'd love to live in an old adobe house in Santa Fe with a tiny darkroom and lots of books and cats. I think everyone deserves equal rights. Someday I'll be fluent in Spanish and Latin. I love collecting quotes, for those times when I can't find a way to express my feelings. Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, and Barbara Kingsolver are awesome. Adrienne Rich is a great inspiration. I'd rather be happy and poor than bored and rich. I'd rather be lonely and myself than popular and a copy of my friends. I don't get the point of designer clothes: why would you spend a lot of money when you don't have to and you can still get comfy, nice-looking clothing. What does the label matter? Also, I will never understand the appeal of stilettos. They hurt, you can't walk, and you risk breaking your neck. Get a grip. I love the Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, Bob Dylan, Carole King, James Taylor, Pete Seeger, Simon & Garfunkel, the Beatles, Paul Simon, John Lennon, the Barenaked Ladies and Billy Joel. I don't know what else to say...
